About Danley Environmental

Led by a Ph.D. environmental engineer, professor, practitioner, and native of Southwest Florida with 15+ years of field and teaching experience.

Danley Environmental provides field-based environmental consulting and professional training grounded in applied environmental engineering and ecology. We partner with agencies, consultants, and communities to deliver technically rigorous, regulatory-relevant, and defensible environmental assessments, delineations, and sustainability solutions. Our work integrates field science, engineering analysis, and data-driven decision support to inform permitting, planning, and environmental management.

Dr. Danley-Thomson received her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University (2014) and her B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Florida State University (2010). Her research and professional work span wetland and landfill systems, contaminant fate and transport, sustainability assessment, and environmental exposure analysis, with collaborations across academia, government, and industry.

Danley Environmental bridges the gap between academic research and real-world environmental practice, providing clients and trainees with field-tested, science-driven tools for environmental decision-making.

Founder and Principal Environmental Engineer, Dr. Ashley Danley-Thomson, Ph.D., P.E. (Florida License No. 87286), is an environmental engineer, university professor, and practicing consultant with extensive experience in wetland systems, environmental field methods, and regulatory assessment. She founded Danley Environmental to provide field-based consulting services and hands-on professional training for environmental practitioners, students, and agencies.

Her training programs emphasize practical field skills, regulatory frameworks, and applied environmental engineering methods, preparing participants for real-world environmental consulting, permitting, and assessment work.
